Funny / Not Funny’s own and Harrisonburg native Ben Schlabach (aka Uncle Begine) has put together his debut release with “They Grow Up So Fast”. Written on the porch and recorded in the basement these songs describe tales of wandering the countryside trying to find your way back home and falling in along the way. Acoustic guitar accompanied with pedal steel, violin, washboard, and occasional straight forward stripped down drum lick become the means that delivers this story to the listener.
